In which there is a crossing of the Channel

We are off to La Belle France for the rest of the week, where wine, cheese, bread and pastries will feature heavily.  Oh, and lots of books.  There may even be a trip to Paris. 

The hinting paid off and I was lucky enough to get this lovely bag for my birthday earlier this month

It’s great to be visiting a country where for once I can speak the language and won’t be embarrassed by my linguistic shortcomings.  Now all I have to do is work out how to drive a British car on the right hand side of the road…
